One marker — a hundred jobs

Stop describing it.
Circle it.

Screenshot anything on your screen, scribble right on it, and send it — to your builder, your designer, your team, your students… or your AI. What took a paragraph now takes one pink arrow.

Free to start — no credit card, up and running in your browser today.

Chrome extension · free forever

  • One keystroke screenshots the tab you're looking at
  • Draw mode: circle, arrow, pin and type on the live website

How it works

Three steps. Zero meetings.

MarkerBack lives in your browser — a dashboard with a built-in device preview, plus a Chrome extension for any live page.

Capture any page

Load a URL in the phone, tablet or desktop preview — or snap any live tab with the extension in one keystroke.

⌘⇧S captures the page you're on

Scribble your feedback

Marker, highlighter, arrows, numbered pins and text — right on the screenshot. It feels like a whiteboard, not a form.

Undo, recolor and edit any stroke later

Send it anywhere

Copy the marked-up shot into Slack, email, or an AI chat — or export the whole review as a tidy PDF for clients.

The killer move

Your AI can't see your screen.
Now it can.

Telling Claude or ChatGPT "the button is misaligned somewhere on checkout" wastes three round-trips. Paste a MarkerBack shot instead — the arrow, the circle and your note travel with the pixels, and the AI fixes exactly what you pointed at.

Way more than code

One marker. A hundred jobs.

Anything on your screen can be captured, scribbled on and sent — to a client, a builder, a student, a team… or an AI. Here’s what people actually do with it.

Builders & renovations

Send the design. Get back a marked-up answer.

A builder sends the homeowner tomorrow’s kitchen render. The homeowner circles the island, moves the pendant lights with an arrow, writes “this wall in the sage green” — and sends it straight back. No site visit, no twenty-message thread.

Learn from any video

Pause the lesson. Mark the moment. Keep it forever.

The extension works right on top of YouTube, podcasts and online courses. Pause a tutorial, circle the exact chart or chord or setting on screen, add your note — and capture it into your study folder. Your notes finally have the picture attached.

Direct your AI images

Tell the AI exactly what to change — by pointing at it.

Generate an image in any AI tool, then mark it up: an arrow for the motion you want in the video version, a circle where the product should sit, a note for the lighting. Copy the marked-up shot back into the chat — the AI sees precisely what you meant.

Coaches & teams

Pause the game film. Draw the play.

Freeze match footage on any screen, draw the run, circle the open player, number the sequence — then send the shot to the team group chat. Works for football, chess streams, esports VODs, anything you can pause.

Web proofing & AI fixes

Show the AI what to fix, instead of describing it.

Coding agents are brilliant at writing code and hopeless at guessing which button you meant. Screenshot the page, circle the broken spacing, arrow the misaligned card, drop a numbered pin on each thing you want changed — then paste that one image into Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor and say “fix 1, 2 and 3”. It sees exactly what you see, so it changes the right thing the first time instead of the third.

House hunting & real estate

Tour the listing together — without being together.

Agents mark up listing photos and floor plans: “this wall comes down”, “north-facing window here”, pin #1 on the water damage to ask about. Buyers send back their own circles. Every property gets its own folder, ready to compare.

Everything you need

Small tool. Sharp teeth.

No accounts for your clients, no plugins, no screen-recording marathons. Just the fastest way from "this looks wrong" to "here's exactly what to change".

Real device frames

iPhone, Android, tablet and full desktop views — auto-scaled, scrollable, capture-ready.

Marker & highlighter

Hand-drawn-feel strokes in six colors and three sizes. Circle it, underline it, cross it out.

Numbered pins

Drop #1, #2, #3 on the exact spots, then reference them in your notes. Zero ambiguity.

Text on the image

Click anywhere and type. Labels wrap automatically and can be dragged around freely.

One-click PDF reports

Branded, numbered, prioritized — every screenshot and note laid out ready to forward.

Copy for AI chats

Flattened, annotated screenshots straight to your clipboard — paste into Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor.

Urgent & done tracking

Flag what matters, tick off what's fixed. Your feedback list doubles as a to-do list.

Chrome extension

Capture any tab in one keystroke and draw on live websites. Included with premium plans.

Autosave & project files

Everything saves as you go. Export a project file to share or pick up on another machine.

More features to come

We're just getting started — team sharing, integrations and more are on the way. Got a request? Tell us.

The old way

You don't need Photoshop to circle a button.

Every tool people reach for was built to make things. You're not making anything — you're pointing at something that already exists and saying "this bit, fix it". That job deserves ten seconds, not a design app.

Heavyweight image editors

Open the app, import the screenshot, add a layer, find the brush, pick a colour, export a PNG, hunt for the file, attach it. For an arrow.

Design & template tools

Brilliant for making a poster. Wrong shape entirely for "the checkout button is broken on mobile" — you end up rebuilding the page just to draw on it.

Screen-recording a monologue

Six minutes to record, six minutes to watch, and nobody can skim it. An AI can't read it, and neither can the person who joins the project next week.

A paragraph in Slack

"The thing under the header, next to the other thing — not that one, the one below." Three replies later you're both still guessing.

To be fair: if you need to actually design something — a logo, a poster, a brand kit — go use a design tool. They're great at that. MarkerBack does one thing: point at what's already on your screen and make it obvious.

FAQ

Quick answers

Not at all — anything you can get on your screen, you can mark up. Builders send homeowners annotated renovation plans, students capture and note video lessons, coaches draw plays on paused game film, designers proof logos and menus, and AI users point at exactly what they want changed in a generated image. If it's on a screen, the marker works on it.
Yes — any site you can open in a browser. Load it straight into the device frame; a few sites block being embedded, and for those you just screenshot the page yourself and drop or paste the image in. All the drawing tools work the same either way.
No. The PDF reports and PNG exports are just files — send them over email, Slack, WhatsApp, anywhere. Only the person creating the feedback needs an account.
Any image you add to a folder — a screenshot, an upload, a paste, or an extension capture — counts as one capture. Each plan includes a monthly allowance (10 on Free, up to 2,000 on Agency) that resets every cycle. When you hit it you keep everything you've made; you just upgrade or wait for the reset to add more.
Every marked-up screenshot can be copied to your clipboard or downloaded as a PNG with all your drawings baked in. Paste it into Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or any AI that reads images and say "fix #1 and #2" — the AI sees exactly what you circled and pinned, so it changes the right thing on the first try.
Yes — upgrade, downgrade, or switch between monthly and yearly whenever you like from your account settings. We prorate the difference automatically, and you can always drop back to the Free plan.

Your next fix-list could take 30 seconds.

Grab the marker, circle what's wrong, hit export. Whoever's on the other end — human or AI — will know exactly what to do.
